The 2007 Yadkin Valley Wine Festival was a spectacular success, with over 10,000 attendees, almost 3,000 of whom who sampled wines from twenty-one Yadkin Valley wineries.  Visitors to the Festival have come from as far away as China, South Africa and India.  Advance tickets have been ordered from as far away as Indiana!  See links below Festival pictures and newspaper articles.  The 2008 Festival is expected to be larger still, with several newly-opened wineries and more activities for families and wine tasters alike.

The Yadkin Valley Wine Festival is open to the public, including families with children (for your safety and the safety of others, please leave your pets at home).  Craft vendor displays and music will take place adjacent to the wine tasting area.  There will be a roving Bacchus and activities for the youngsters.

Entertainment for the 2008 Festival will commence at 11:00a.m. with music by the Natty Boh Duo.  At 2:00p.m. there will be a grape stomp for the kids in attendance, plus some other special events.  The Part Time Party Time Band will perform from 3:00 until 6:00p.m.

Food and non-wine beverages will be available for purchase from selected vendors.  Wine tasters must be at least 21 years of age (all tasters will be required to show positive photographic identification) to obtain a tasting wristband and Yadkin Valley Wine Festival engraved wine glass.  Picnic tables are available for vendor-purchased food, there is plenty of lawn space for blankets, and bleacher seating is located in front of the bandstand.  No coolers may be brought into the Festival.  For your convenience, you may purchase and check your wine (multiple bottle packs and cases) at our wine-check area  and have it held securely until you are ready to leave the festival.

For the first time every, two cash ATM machines will be available to festival visitors.
